Terms of use

Budget My Meal ("we", "us") is an online marketplace in Australia that lets you order discounted meals from independent food businesses ("restaurants") and pick them up yourself. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

How it works

• Each restaurant sets its own meals, prices and pickup times.
• You pay in full by card when you order. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
• After paying you get a pickup code and an estimated ready time. Show the code at the restaurant before it closes that day.
• Orders are pickup or dine-in only. We don't deliver.
• If you don't collect your order, or don't arrive for a dine-in deal, by the end of that day's opening (or dine-in) hours, it counts as a no-show and isn't refunded. See the Refund policy.
• Dine-in deals cover only the listed meal. Drinks and extras are paid to the restaurant directly. Seating is walk-in and subject to availability, except deals for 4 or more people, Birthday and Family & groups deals, where the restaurant holds a table for your arrival time. If the restaurant can't seat you, it may serve the meal as takeaway or refund you in full.

Prices

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies.

The food

The restaurant prepares your meal and is responsible for its quality, food safety and ingredient information. If you have an allergy or dietary need, please check with the restaurant before you order.

Picking up

Deals can be ordered while the restaurant is open. Please collect your order after it's ready and before the restaurant closes that day; meals not collected by closing time may not be kept. You can cancel within 5 minutes of ordering if it hasn't been marked ready. See our Refund policy for what happens if something goes wrong.

Your rights

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to new orders.
